Make-Up Training for the Fast-Moving World of Fashion

In 3 months, you’ll grasp the necessary skills that a make-up artist working in fashion needs to flourish in this fast-moving world. We’ve designed the syllabus to prepare you for a variety of creative projects. For example, our fashion make-up and hair course includes contemporary and ‘stylised period’ techniques for men and women. Our tutors will introduce you to different materials and using them to achieve a variety of effects. You’ll also learn how to work with a purely black & white photography brief, as well as the many ways in which lighting can affect make-up.

This is the syllabus of the 3 month fashion make-up and hair course:

  • Basic fashion make-up techniques – contemporary, stylised period and latest trends
  • Male make-up and grooming
  • Make-up for black & white photography
  • Red carpet and celebrity make-up
  • Different looks – androgynous, futuristic, bridal, glamour
  • Working with a variety of materials to create different effects
  • Session styling for hair
  • ‘Creating’ and covering tattoos
  • Developing a personal fashion portfolio
