Make-up & Hair Designer: Killing Eve 3

“I have been very lucky to have taught over the years at Brushstroke. During my teaching time, I can see the talent emerging from the students which then gives a wonderful pool of trainees. In the last few years, I have managed to take a good handful of students and graduates onto jobs with me and recommend others to other hair and make-up designers. The last student I took out working was Keeley Ridgwell who joined my team on Killing Eve 3 after just completing the 2-Year BTEC Make-up and Hair Course. She came fresh out of college and with her training managed to slip into working life very comfortably. The course had taught her the basics of continuity, which was her main job on this particular project. She enabled us to seamlessly move our filming from one country to another and during this whole time she was constantly learning new skills from the team around her. By the time Keeley finished her 6-month stint with us, she had grown in confidence. She was an incredibly important part of the make-up and hair team and the fact she fitted in so well came a lot from the knowledge she had left Brushstroke with. I look forward to working with more of the talented students and graduates from Brushstroke in the future.”

Make-Up Artist (Celebrity, TV, Editorial & Red Carpet)

I’m really busy as a make-up artist and Brushstroke’s students have assisted me on many jobs and proved to have a tremendous work ethic due to their excellent training. They’re reliable, keen and a pleasure to have around. I’ve always found them to be helpful with organising my kit and remaining professional on set while working under pressure. It’s aways a pleasure working with them.

My last trainee(Danielle Shephard) worked extremely  well with my team on the comedy drama ‘The  Bremmer Files ‘ and was subsequently recommended for a position with the drama series ‘Endeavour ‘ that she has now secured and will start working on from March 2021.

“It’s rare you come across the kind of professionalism and friendly approach Brushstroke offer. We contacted Louise to help recommend make-up artists for a modelling shoot. Two top students were sent our way. We were so impressed with how they fitted straight in with our team, were professional with the models on set, and did a great job in an unpredictable shooting situation. The Brushstroke team and students come with my highest recommendation.”
