Brushstroke professional training is of the very highest standard whichever course you choose. If you enroll in one of our BTEC or ITEC diploma courses you can also work towards gaining some important make-up qualifications. As an approved training provider for BTEC and ITEC, we offer 4 courses:
- 2 Year Make-Up & Hair (BTEC level 3 diploma)
- 9 Month Make-Up & Hair (ITEC level 3 diploma)
- 1 Year Hairdressing, Barbering & Colouring (ITEC level 2 diploma)
- 2 Month Barbering (ITEC level 2 certificate)
Under our guidance, students gain specialist knowledge and learn practical skills. We train them so they have everything they need to succeed as make-up and hair artists in film, TV, stage and fashion.
Brushstroke Entry Requirements
Brushstroke is not government-funded which means we can set our own entry requirements. Top of the list for us are commitment and a passion for enhancing or changing the human face (and body) through make-up and hair. If you have a desire to reach the highest standards we can help you become a professional artist ready to make your mark in film, TV, stage or fashion.
BTEC Nationals are the equivalent to A Levels and are the most widely-recognised qualifications should you wish to try for higher education. Indeed, BTECs are regarded as one of the most valuable of the vocational qualifications. Brushstroke BTEC make-up qualification courses come under the category of ‘Production Arts (Make-Up)’.
Students complete a range of assignments, research and practical activities, as well as a portfolio of work carried out during the course. Assessment takes place at our make-up training facilities by Brushstroke qualified assessors as well as approved BTEC verifiers.
ITEC is a qualification recognised in over 38 countries. It gives students the kind of knowledge and practical skills they need to become make-up and hair artists in film, TV stage and fashion. ITEC qualifications are well known and recognised around the world for high standards of training and employability. Our ITEC make-up qualification courses come under the category of ‘Fashion, Theatre & Media Make-up, and Hairdressing & Barbering’.
Assessment of Brushstroke ITEC Qualifications
Students are assessed in a number of ways: online examinations, assignments, case studies and practical activities, as well as a portfolio of completed work. They are all assessed by a combination of our tutors and external assessors.
